Day 1:

Welcome to Kathmandu! Upon arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, you'll be greeted by a representative from Nepal Trek Ways and transferred to your hotel. After some welcome refreshments and a quick pre-trip meeting, enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Unpack, relax, and immerse yourself in the energy of this vibrant city with an evening stroll. Your overnight stay includes breakfast at the hotel.

Day 2:

Embark on a guided tour to some of Kathmandu's most revered historical and cultural landmarks. Visit Pashupatinath Temple, the Basantapur Durbar Square, and the impressive Boudhanath Stupa - all UNESCO world heritage sites. After a day filled with awe-inspiring sights, return to your hotel for a well-earned rest. Overnight at the hotel, with breakfast included.

Day 3:

Touch down in Paro, Bhutan where our guide will greet you. After settling into your hotel, spend the afternoon exploring the National Museum, Ta Dzong, and Kichu Lhakhang, Bhutan's oldest temple. If the weather is clear, you might catch a glimpse of Mt. Jumolhari, Bhutan’s second highest mountain. Overnight at the hotel, with all meals included.

Day 4:

Start your day with a trek to the famous Taktsang Monastery, perched high above Paro Valley. Immerse yourself in the spiritual ambiance of this sacred site, snap some photos, then hike back down to the valley before driving to Thimphu. Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu, with all meals included.

Day 5:

Explore Thimphu Valley starting with a visit to the Radio Tower for a picturesque view of the valley and Thimphu Dzong. Visit the Zoo, National Library, and School of Arts and Crafts before lunch. Post-lunch, explore the National Institute of Traditional Medicine and a traditional Paper Factory. Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu, with all meals included.

Day 6:

After breakfast, drive to Punakha, enjoying breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Drive through lush forests and rice fields, arriving in Punakha for lunch. Cap the day with a visit to the stunning Punakha Dzong. Overnight at the hotel in Punakha, with all meals included.

Day 7:

Rise and shine for an early morning drive to Pele La Pass, situated at an impressive 3300m. This high mountain pass in Bhutan offers awe-inspiring views of snow-clad peaks, including Bhutan’s sacred peak, Mt. Chomolhari. The journey to Bhumtang, the cultural heartland of Bhutan, is a winding spectacle crossing this high pass. You may even spot yaks along the way! After lunch in Trongsa, marvel at the architectural masterpiece of Trongsa Dzong before continuing to Bhumtang. Along the way, we'll stop at a Yathra (textile weaving) Factory where you can observe weavers at their looms. Overnight in Bhumtang, with all meals included.

Day 8:

Embrace the tranquility of the Choekhor Valley as you trek towards Ngang Lhakhang, a Buddhist monastery nestled in this serene landscape. Follow the Chamkhar Chu, a river known for trout, while enjoying the captivating scenery. In Ngang Yul, set up camp at an altitude of 9500 feet and unwind under the starlit sky. All meals are included.

Day 9:

Start your day with a gentle climb to Phephe La Pass, the highest point of your trek route. As you traverse through beautiful forested areas, catch glimpses of the Ugyen Choling Palace. Set up camp in Ugyen Choling village at an altitude of 9300 feet and enjoy the peace and calm of this remote location. All meals are included.

Day 10:

Today's trek follows the Tang Chu, a river teeming with trout, leading to Bhumtang - the traditional home of the great Buddhist teacher Pema Linga. Visit the sacred Mebar Tsho (Flaming Lake) and Tang Rinpoche's Lhakhang before being picked up and driven to Jakar. Overnight in Bhumtang, with all meals included.

Day 11:

Explore the spiritual heritage of Bhumtang, starting with the Jambay Temple - one of the 108 temples built by Tibetan King Songtsan Gampo in 659 CE. Visit the administrative center of the valley, Jakar Dzong, and the sacred Kurjey Lhakhang where Guru Rinpoche left his body imprint. End the day with a stroll around Bhumtang town. Overnight in Bhumtang, with all meals included.

Day 12:

After a short stroll to the Bhumtang market, drive to the picturesque district of Wangdue, a gateway to Eastern Bhutan. Visit the dramatic Wangdue Dzong perched on a ridge and explore nearby villages known for their slate and stone carvings. Overnight in Wangdue, with all meals included.

Day 13:

Get ready for a memorable drive back to Paro through Dochula Pass, a mountain pass standing at an impressive altitude of 3,116 meters. The pass is beautifully adorned by 108 small chortens, giving it a distinctive charm. On the way, you'll visit Chimi Lhakhang temple, where you will receive blessings from the Lama. Lunch will be served at Dochula Pass, providing a unique dining experience amidst stunning views. Post lunch, we head on to the Druk Wangyal Monastery where you can appreciate elaborate paintings that reveal the link between the present monarchy and their visionary works. Upon arrival in Paro, check into your hotel and relax. In the evening, explore the charming town of Paro at your own pace. Overnight at a hotel in Paro, with all meals included.

Day 14:

Bid a fond farewell to Bhutan as we fly back to Kathmandu. Once you've checked into your hotel, take some time to relax and refresh. Later, you can indulge in some shopping or stroll around some of the cultural and historical landmarks of Kathmandu. Thamel, a popular spot for souvenir shopping, is your go-to place for taking home mementos that represent Nepal and its culture. In the evening, Nepal Trek Ways will host a farewell dinner featuring a range of traditional Nepali cuisines. Enjoy the dinner, prepare for your flight back home, and have a restful sleep. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu, with breakfast and dinner included.

Day 15:

Unless you wish to extend your trip to try out some of our other adventurous packages like Bungy Jumping, Mountain Biking, Jungle Safari, White Water Rafting, Golfing & Paragliding, this will be your last day in Nepal. A representative from Nepal Trek Ways will escort you to the Tribhuwan International Airport for your final departure.
